Potty training

Part of the reason that I'm so late in getting pictures from the mountains on the blog, is because the week we got back from the mountains we started potty training!  Wow, what an experience.  We did the "3-day boot camp" method which was CRAZY (but actually worked really well for June).  My mom came down to help out and I probably wouldn't have lasted half a day without her.  There was a lot of peeing going on around here for several days.  Before we could get one accident cleaned up, June or Caroline would slip and fall in it.  We started day one with about 30 pairs of underwear and by 10am I was calling Anthony to ask him to go buy some more over lunch.  By the time he got here with more underwear we were down to two clean pairs.  Caroline still says randomly "Granna mopped up my pee-pee", I guess the experience stuck with her too.

Here they are putting on their first pair of big girl underwear (I was excited at this point too, it didn't take long for the excitement to wear off) and throwing away their diapers (don't worry, it was a clean trashbag so I've got some size 5 diapers to give away)...

There were no pictures from this point on, it was just a blur of urine and underwear.  Both girls are doing great with their potty training and knock on wood, we haven't had an accident out of the house yet.  It was a frustrating couple days, but like my sister reminded me - using the bathroom is a skill they will use for the rest of their lives so my hard work and efforts were not wasted.
