June and Caroline went to the dentist for the first time today and they were rock stars! They had been saying they were ready to go for a couple weeks but when we got there Caroline started acting a little apprehensive. Thank goodness, June was willing to go first so Caroline could check it out before her turn. June hopped up in the chair like she'd been doing it all her life. She was very serious and did everything the hygienist asked her to do.
When it was Caroline's turn she got in the chair like a brave girl and was very still. She did not like having her teeth polished with the spin brush and quickly told the hygienist so, who very kindly finished up with a regular tooth brush. She also told the hygienist she did not want her to use "Mr. Thirsty" to rinse her mouth. She really knows what she likes and what she doesn't like and is not afraid to tell you about it!
Of course, Bubby was there to get his teeth cleaned too!
They took a lot of time deciding what they wanted out of the prize box after their cleaning (June ended up choosing a bouncy ball, Carolina chose a bracelet). It was a great experience for a first visit to the dentist and I am so proud of them!
