First haircuts

June and Caroline got their first haircut yesterday.  I had been thinking they needed a cut for a while, but couldn't bring myself to make an appointment.  When the day finally came, I was more excited than sad to see their beautiful hair shaped up a bit.  We talked about the haircut a lot on Friday and Saturday morning so the girls were ready when we got to the salon.  June went first and was very sober.  She gripped the steering wheel of the plane chair the whole time and kept this same serious look on her face.

Caroline got to watch June so she was a little more relaxed - of course it helped that Bubby was there to keep her company.  Caroline was squirmy and curious - trying to stand up in the chair to look around and see what was going on behind and beside her.

And here is the finished product.  I am a little sad that Caroline's curls are gone, but they'll be back, right?  Courtney (the lady who cut their hair) commented on the wave that June has underneath her hair in the back - Mom and Leslie, I thought about y'all and told her she'd have to deal with it all her life.
